The brand is the official timekeeper for this new series of tennis tournaments. This is quite a task, as the matches are played in four eight-minute quarters. As a tennis fan and someone who has played for nearly four decades, I understand UTS. It is a fun activity that shows off the lighter, more casual side of tennis while increasing the fun on the court. The look of the Zenith Chronomaster Sport Titanium
The brand’s new Chronomaster Sport Titanium was created to celebrate the relaxed style of UTS. While this lends a story to the watch, as I love tennis, it’s not why I was drawn to this watch. No, it’s all about the look. When I first saw the Chronomaster Sport Titanium, I was immediately drawn to the monochromatic look. I think it is quite possibly the best looking Chronomaster Sport in the collection.

This titanium version, the steel bezel model I wrote about, the rose gold version with black dial, and the stainless steel version with black dial make up the five Chonomaster Sport watches. Honestly, based on my initial impressions, I do think this watch is the best of all. While this watch is beautiful, I was surprised by its weight. It weighs only 105 grams. This is 30% lighter than its stainless steel counterpart which weighs 148 grams. While 105 grams is not particularly light, it does disturb my perception greatly.

Somehow I didn’t expect it to be so light to wear. I didn’t know what to think but decided to take it slowly. The second thing that immediately caught my attention was the clicking sound of the bracelet. If you have ever worn a Zenith bracelet watch, you know that both the bracelet and the clasp have a vintage feel. As Daan said in his review of the Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar, “It is a vintage-style watch, but that doesn’t mean its bracelet should also feel like it was made in the 70s.”

This is something that modern bracelets don’t have, and I feel conflicted every time I wear a Zenith. As Daan said, production details should be commensurate with the price, especially when you compare the watch to its competitors. This is where I think Zenith can win. That being said, although others may disagree, I love the comfort and charm of the brand's bracelets. Wearing a Zenith bracelet is an absolute pleasure. They may not be the best in the industry, but they are super comfortable, and that's what I ultimately want.

But before we start the whole wearing experience, we have to remind ourselves of a few details. The Zenith Chronomaster Sport Titanium has a 41mm grade 5 titanium case with a thickness of 13.6mm and a lug-to-lug distance of 46.8mm. The case is well-proportioned and the titanium material looks beautiful. I had the opportunity to try the grade 5 titanium bracelet, and the hue of this material is awesome. At first, it looked like a dark gray, like many titanium  fake luxury watches .

But when I took the watch outside in the sunlight, I started to smile. The color turned into a dark gray with a slight warm yellow tint. It is very tasteful and complements the mainly brushed finish of the case and bracelet. Beyond that, it adds an extra pop of color to the polished chamfers on the lugs and bezel. It’s an absolute treat to see the color of this material. It has a certain warmth and charm that I love, and it pairs really well with the dial color.

Zenith chose a nickel-toned sunray dial paired with dark grey, light grey, and silver subdials. The nickel tone appears grey under studio lighting, but takes on a beautiful, warm hue under natural light. It almost feels like a soft beige, and pairs really well with grade 5 titanium. The sunray dial combines faceted rhodium-plated hands and indices with a black lacquer fill. Additionally, they’re coated in white Super-LumiNova for easy nighttime reading.

Bright red elements bring a subtle yet vivid hint of color. The red tip of the central chronograph hand, the red stripes on the subdial chronograph hands, and the red “36,000 VpH” text on the dial contrast nicely with the monochrome aesthetic. It adds just enough oomph to the watch to prevent it from becoming boring. Overall, I have to say that Zenith has created a watch that’s a delight to the eye. From the overall color combination to the small details like the shiny date disc with black printing and the black and white used for the markers and hands, Zenith has succeeded with this Chronomaster Sport Titanium.

Inside the case is the El Primero 3600 column-wheel chronograph movement. The central chronograph hand makes one full circle around the dial in 10 seconds, which is quite spectacular. Not only does it allow you to time precisely to 1/10 of a second, but it also adds an interesting visual element. I rarely use the chronograph when I wear the watch. But sometimes I just press the start button and let the chronograph hand spin at high speed. After forgetting that I have started the chronograph, it is always a pleasure to glance at the watch again and remember that. This makes the watch not only a time-telling tool, but also a pleasant interactive tool, even when I am not actively timing.

On the wrist is where the Chronomaster Sport Titanium really shines. At first, I had to get used to its lightness and the rattling bracelet. But slowly, this watch started to win me over. It starts with the perfect combination of materials and colors. Even though it has a rather plain look, I have never seen another watch like it. It has an undeniable charm that made me fall in love with it. Secondly, this watch wears like a dream thanks to the light weight and super comfortable bracelet.

Of course, we can argue for days about the production quality of this bracelet and its stamped clasp, and I agree that it is not as good as a Rolex or Omega bracelet. At first, this made me skeptical, but on my wrist, I was quickly reminded of why Zenith watches are great to wear. I wore it continuously for more than a week, so I had time to get used to it and put it to the test. After doing so, I have to say that everything made sense. It is hard to find fault with it when wearing it. The pump button starts, stops and resets the chronograph with a firm click, the crown is simple to operate, and the size and proportions fit my wrist perfectly.

As you can guess by now, I really like the Zenith Chronomaster Sport Titanium. This watch is perfect for me. It looks impeccable, has an excellent movement, and is extremely comfortable on the wrist. Lastly, the lightweight material and construction of the bracelet did not bother me at all when I put this watch on. I think this is due to the strong charm of Zenith. This charm makes me fall in love with it again and again. The brand knows how to make a watch look great, and this watch is another perfect example.

Remember when I said there was only one problem with this watch? That is the weight of the titanium. While this is not really a problem for me, if you are not a fan of it, there are many stainless steel Chronomaster Sport steel options to choose from, as I mentioned.

But would I spend so much money on this watch? Rationally speaking, I tend to say that I would not. However, as we all know, falling in love with a watch is never a rational experience. For me, Zenith has done it again. The brand has created another amazing watch that completely won me over. If I had the money, I would choose this one over most of the competing products in this price range.
